BajoHilos designs and hand-crochets one-of-a-kind pieces in Colombia. Bags in viscose silk and Murano stones, reworked garments, and made-to-order commissions. No piece exists until it is ordered.

Designer and creative director of BajoHilos. She interprets each idea, reference, or need and turns it into a piece with its own identity, carrying on a technique passed down through three generations of her family.

BajoHilos was born from the union of Andrés’s business vision and the creative sensibility of Estefanía, the designer behind the brand’s artistic world. The project began with the aim of bringing handmade crochet into a contemporary, luxury context.

Crochet is part of a family tradition that Estefanía has inherited across three generations: knowledge, a sensitive hand, patience and a deep bond with the craft.

BajoHilos is a Colombian handcrafted design brand, domiciled in Tocancipá, Colombia. By using this site and making a purchase, you accept these terms.

Nature of the products. All pieces are handmade and made to order, customized according to each customer's choices (yarn, color, length, and details). Because they are custom-made pieces, production times are 20 to 30 business days from order confirmation and payment of the deposit.

Prices and payments. Published prices are approximate and may vary depending on the final design choices. The final price is confirmed with the designer before production begins. A 40% deposit is required to start the order; the remaining balance is paid before shipping.

Shipping. We ship within Colombia and internationally. Shipping times and costs are provided during the purchase process. BajoHilos is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or by the customs authorities of the destination country.

Right of withdrawal. In accordance with the Consumer Statute (Estatuto del Consumidor, Law 1480 of 2011), the customer has the right to withdraw from their purchase within 5 business days following delivery of the product, provided the piece has not been used and remains in its original condition. Because the pieces are customized and made to the customer's measurements, this right may not apply when the product was made according to the buyer's exclusive specifications, in line with the exceptions provided by law.

Exchanges and warranties. Every piece carries a warranty against manufacturing defects. If your piece arrives with a defect in the weaving or workmanship, write to us within the first 5 business days after receiving it so we can arrange an exchange or repair.

Intellectual property. The designs, photographs, and content of this site are the property of BajoHilos. Their reproduction or use without authorization is prohibited.

Contact and requests (PQR). For requests, complaints, or claims, you can write to us on WhatsApp. If your concern is not resolved, you may turn to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

BajoHilos, in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 (Ley 1581 de 2012), Decree 1377 of 2013, and other regulations governing the protection of personal data in Colombia, informs data subjects about how it processes their information.

1. Data controller. BajoHilos, a Colombian handcrafted design brand domiciled in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, Colombia. Contact channel for all matters related to personal data: gerencia@bajohilos.com.

2. Data we collect. When you place an order: full name, ID number (cédula), mobile number, email address, city and delivery address, and the proof of payment you attach. When you send a request through the “Design your piece” form: name, email, WhatsApp, location, and the reference photos you attach. If you leave your email in the “Before you go” window: only the email, the date, and the page from which you left it. We also record the IP address and the date of the visit for statistical purposes. If you accept measurement cookies, Google Analytics and Meta receive browsing data, as explained in the Cookie policy.

3. We do not collect sensitive data. We do not request or process data on health, ethnic origin, political, religious, or sexual orientation, or biometric data. Nor do we knowingly collect data from minors; if you are a minor, a responsible adult must make the purchase.

4. Purposes. Your data is used exclusively to: (a) produce the piece you ordered; (b) coordinate the design details with you via WhatsApp or email; (c) verify payment and issue the corresponding invoice; (d) manage shipping and tracking; (e) handle warranties, exchanges, requests, complaints, and claims; (f) if you authorized it in the “Before you go” window, notify you by email when new pieces or colors are available. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your information to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

5. Third parties involved. To fulfill these purposes, some data is transmitted to providers that act on our behalf and under our instructions: the web hosting company where the database resides; the email provider we use to write to you; and the carrier that delivers your piece (FedEx for international shipments, or the corresponding courier company in Colombia), which receives only your name, address, city, mobile number, and country. None of them is authorized to use your data for any other purpose.

6. Authorization. Processing is carried out only with your prior, express, and informed authorization, which you grant by checking the corresponding box before submitting your data. For that authorization, we keep the date, the time, and the version of this policy in force at that moment. You may revoke it at any time by writing to the email address indicated, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to retain the information (for example, tax obligations related to invoicing).

7. Retention. Order data is kept for as long as the commercial relationship is in effect and, afterward, for the period required by Colombian tax and commercial regulations. Requests from the “Design your piece” form that do not result in an order are deleted once they are no longer useful for assisting you. Emails left to receive notifications are kept until you ask us to delete them or revoke your authorization.

8. Your rights as a data subject. Under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to: access, update, and correct your data; request proof of the authorization you granted; be informed about how your data has been used; revoke your authorization or request the deletion of your data when there is no legal duty to retain it; and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC). Consulting and updating your data is free of charge.

9. How to exercise your rights. Write to gerencia@bajohilos.com stating your name, your order number if you have one, and what you are requesting. We respond to inquiries within ten (10) business days, extendable by five (5) more, and to claims within fifteen (15) business days, extendable by eight (8) more; if an extension is needed, we will inform you before the deadline and explain why. If you believe we did not address your request, you may turn to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.

10. Security. We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information: password-restricted access to the administration panel, encrypted HTTPS connections across the entire site, and database access limited to the brand's management.

11. Effective date. This policy is effective as of October 2026. It corresponds to version v2-2026-10 (the previous one, v1-2026-08, was in effect from August 2026), which is the version recorded alongside each authorization granted. If we modify it, we will publish the new version on this same page; authorizations already granted retain the version that was accepted.

This site uses its own (first-party) cookies, that is, small files stored in your browser to remember your preferences while you browse (for example, the currency you chose or whether you have already accepted this notice). These cookies are necessary and are not shared with anyone.

Third-party cookies (only if you accept them). If you accept in the privacy bar, we use:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC): to know how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and where they come from. It helps us improve the website.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): to measure the results of our ads and show BajoHilos advertising on Facebook and Instagram to interested people.

These tools may store cookies in your browser and process browsing data (pages viewed, device, approximate IP address). We never send them your name, email, phone number, or order details. If you decline, they are not activated.

You can change your decision at any time: privacy settings. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings; if you disable first-party cookies, some site features (such as remembering your preferred currency) will stop working properly.
